Giving & Receiving Feedback as a Leader

At Rising Vibe, the question we are regularly asked is: “How do you give negative feedback to someone at work without upsetting or offending them?”


Our response is: You can’t control (or know) how anyone will respond to your feedback. Learning how to receive it, as well as gaining insight into reactions to feedback, is the first step.


How we respond when we are RECEIVING feedback dictates whether or not we will get feedback again. When we are GIVING feedback, being open to feedback on your feedback is critical!


Join us for our
next FREE Leadership Taster Session on Friday 4th April at 12pm - 1:30pm where we will explore our focus on feedback: Learning how to receive feedback to enable feedback to be given.

 

During this 1.5 hour session we will discuss:

  • How giving and receiving feedback supports the creation of psychological safety
  • How to access your current feedback mindset and identify resistance and/or engagement
  • How social pain impacts our capability and confidence when giving/receiving feedback
  • How to alleviate social threat to enable action
  • How our emotional bank account impacts how we give/receive feedback and our intention behind it
